Zoggs Darwin Actionback Swimsuit
It’s been a little while since the last review post, so today I’m bringing it back with my new Zoggs swimsuit from Millet Sports. Swimwear isn’t directly ‘running related’, but just about every physio on the planet will happily recommend some form of tedious pool based activity so I thought it might be a good idea to inform you on my thoughts. I’ve also been living in the water for the past 9 months with my injury- another reason why I thought this post was necessary.
disclaimer: I was sent this swimsuit by Millet Sports. However all my opinions are completely honest and true to what I really think.
Since training in the water I’ve tried a number of different brands: I ordered a Speedo swimsuit which came up very small and after that I brought an Aqua Sphere costume which was just too oddly shaped…but I was pleased to find that a Zoggs Swimsuit in size 8 fits me very well.
I would say that the most important thing about swimsuits for me is the ‘look’, and second to that the ability to keep this ‘look’ without transforming into a tired and baggy sack after a couple of swims. Thankfully this Zoggs swimsuit has a 3 year guarantee and is 100% chlorine resistant. Saying this, for the last 3 months I have been using another Zoggs model and I have to say I have noticed a little stretching and fading of colour, however this new swimsuit does have the guarantee and sufficent advertising about being 100% resistant to sagging and fading so it’ll be interesting to see how it lasts.
Of course, I’m also a fan this swimsuit’s style. The ‘actionback’ is a great feature because it just generally makes me feel more professional so that when doing some stroke that vaguely resembles a form of butterfly I don’t have to feel too bad about myself. There’s a nice shelf bra inbuilt into the swimsuit too which is always useful. When swimming I have had no problems with snagging or anything like that, and the straps are also very comfortable.
The price is extremely reasonable. I think that £20 (reduced from £34) is a noteworthy bargain.
So overall, I would definitely recommend this swimsuit, and just Zoggs in general because I feel that it’s a good quality and well priced brand. You know what you’re going to be getting each time when you buy which is always a bonus. If you can I always think it’s best to try on these things first, but with many of the best models being sold online that doesn’t always happen so it’s always best I would definitely check the ease of returns with the seller you are purchasing the item from.
You can pick up this exact suit using the link below at Millets who also sell a range of other swimsuits (and running gear!) for discount prices. If you do have any questions about this item please ask and I will be more than happy to help!
